Simon Mercer is a qualified and time served bricklayer by trade and undertakes domestic and light commercial works ranging from patio and landscaping through to new build houses.

Home extensions are SJ Mercers speciality. Simon has been building extensions in London and Essex for over 20 years and has a support team of trades he can call upon to ensure all works are undertaken with continuity and efficiency.

If you need advice, design ideas or even architectural structural drawings he can help with that also.

Our Mission

Following on from our vision statement, our mission is to focus and continue to implement core values through training, communication, accreditation, and association.

All estimates and quotations are produced in clear precise transparent detailed format following site visit and study of drawings and specifications provided. This includes research into materials and methodology required.
All our quotations are produced by our in-house surveyor.
All instruction orders received will be acknowledged and a pre works meeting usually on site will be undertaken to establish works schedule and timescale.
Payment terms are always agreed in advance and no variation, addition or omission are implemented or undertaken without written agreement and approval.
Any procurement or preliminary items will be detailed and included in quotation or if not known at time of quotation established and discussed and agreed pre commencement.
Our customers are communicated with throughout the works and kept informed of any changes forced or otherwise to ensure satisfaction and deliverance of project.
Customers are always invited to virtually sign off works as elements complete and of course on final completion.
